As the temperature starts to dip, I’ve been making heartier meals for dinner. Not only do I want to be warm on the outside, I want to be warm on the inside, too. These are the nights I want something warm and cozy in my belly. You know, comfort food. While mac & cheese or… Continue reading Orange Marmalade Pork

Pork Chops with Peach-Plum Compote
Since we’re right at the beginning of peach season, it’s all about peaches for me. Where I used to buy pounds and pounds of citrus, I’m now buying pounds and pounds of peaches, plums, pluots and apricots. In other words, I’m buying as much stone fruit as I can get my hands on. And now… Continue reading Pork Chops with Peach-Plum Compote
Rhubarb Cherry Pork Chops
Last week I talked about how much I love Tartarian cherries. I look forward to them every year, and grab as many as I can until they disappear. It’s five or six weeks of pure bliss. While I use them plenty for sweet desserts, I use them for savory recipes as well. That sweet pop… Continue reading Rhubarb Cherry Pork Chops
Apple Pie Pork Chops
Back in the “old world” before Covid, I used to get together with several other bloggers at Melissa’s Produce. We’d talk and enjoy an amazing lunch and then have a Q&A with a specific chef about their newest cookbook. Photos would be taken, there would be cooking demos and so. Much. Food. We were actually… Continue reading Apple Pie Pork Chops
Grilled Balsamic Peaches and Pork
Peach season is still alive and well here in the Southbay. In most parts of the country it’s starting to wind down, but here, there’s a new peach every week. Last week were the August Ladies this week are the O’Henrys. I don’t know what next week will bring, all I know is they’re all… Continue reading Grilled Balsamic Peaches and Pork
Peach Sage Pork Chops
I love the fall. Apples and citrus start showing up at grocery stores and farmers’ markets while cocktails start to have more spice and warmth to them. I love everything about it… well almost everything. There is one thing I hate about fall, most of the stone fruits with which I’m so in love disappear.… Continue reading Peach Sage Pork Chops
Grilled Fennel-rubbed Pork Chops with Nectarines
During the summer there’s one thing I love to do, and that’s grill. I know, I know… I’ve been talking about grilling a lot recently, but that’s because when it’s this hot out, the last thing I want to do is cook inside. I mean, my house is already hot enough, why in the world… Continue reading Grilled Fennel-rubbed Pork Chops with Nectarines
Lemon Garlic Pork Tenderloin with Orzo Salad
The month of July means a lot of things: summer, fireworks, the pool, the beach and of course the grill. Yup, if you haven’t already, it’s time to dust off your grill and get cookin’! I just dusted off mine and I can’t wait to use it. I love that it’s finally warm enough for… Continue reading Lemon Garlic Pork Tenderloin with Orzo Salad
Pork Loin with Blood Orange Salsa
Ever found a recipe that sounds like the perfect meal but then discovered there’s one major ingredient that you’re allergic to so you can’t have it after all? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen a great cookie, cocktail, or entree that looks delicious and then come to find it’s made with pineapple… Continue reading Pork Loin with Blood Orange Salsa
Paprika Pork Chops and Hearts of Palm Salad
One of the benefits of being a food blogger is that sometimes companies send me products with which to create recipes. Sometimes the products are good and sometimes they’re not so good. When the products aren’t good, I thank the company and move on. But when they are good, I can’t wait to create a… Continue reading Paprika Pork Chops and Hearts of Palm Salad
Pan-Seared Pork Chops with Figs
We’re right in the middle of fig season and if there’s one thing I love it’s fresh figs. I’ll eat them straight or roasted or even cooked down into a thick relish. I’ve even made a few desserts with them. But one thing I’ve never done is cooked them with a protein. Well, I changed that a few weeks ago and I’m so happy I did. These pork chops are delicious and perfect for this time of year.
